Estimates and proposals

Written agreements
All construction projects require a written contract describing the scope of work, timeline, materials and price. Verbal agreements are not binding for construction services exceeding $500. Where Florida law requires specific notices or disclosures in a residential contract, they are included in that contract.
Changes and modifications
Project changes must be documented in a written change order that includes:
- A description of the change
- Cost adjustments (additions or credits)
- Any timeline modification
- Signed approval from all parties
Payment terms
Payment terms are stated in your contract. Typical terms include:

- Final payment upon substantial completion and client approval
- Late payment charges may apply after 30 days, as stated in your contract
Warranties
Workmanship warranty: AVVA Construction provides a one (1) year warranty on workmanship from the date of substantial completion. It covers defects resulting from our workmanship and excludes normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, and damage from third parties or events outside our control.
Material warranties: materials are covered by their manufacturers’ warranties, which we will transfer to the client where possible. We do not warrant materials beyond manufacturer specifications.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to:
- Repair or replacement of defective workmanship
- The total contract value for the specific project
- Direct damages only. We are not liable for consequential, incidental or punitive damages.
Safety and compliance
AVVA Construction is committed to safe work environments and compliance with applicable regulations, including OSHA standards, local building codes and permit requirements, environmental guidelines, licensing and insurance requirements, and workers’ compensation and liability coverage.
Clients are responsible for providing safe access to work areas and for disclosing any known hazards, such as asbestos, lead paint, mold or underground utilities.
Intellectual property
All designs, plans, website content, images and proprietary methods developed by AVVA Construction remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients receive a license to use our designs for the specific contracted project, but may not reproduce or distribute them without written permission. Pre-existing intellectual property brought to a project by the client remains the client’s.

If a dispute arises, the parties agree to follow this process:
- Direct negotiation between the parties
- Mediation through a qualified construction mediator
- Binding arbitration if mediation is unsuccessful
